Ready to start summer off right? Keep reading for our curated guide of bucket list-worthy ways to spend the summer at Little America in Flagstaff.
Hit the Trails
Far from standard, Little America is uniquely situated on acres of our own Ponderosa Pine forest. Here, you can enjoy our Nature Walk trail. A peaceful loop of about 2 miles, perfect for families or taking a leisurely stroll, keep an eye out for a variety of local flora and fauna, including potential elk or deer sightings. Calm and quiet, this private trail highlights the very best of our property.
Looking to reach greater heights? Several excellent trails are just a short drive away. Just shy of 7 miles through the Coconino National Forest, the Oldham Trail can be accessed right down the road. With beautiful views and more challenging terrain, Elden Lookout Trail is a local favorite, also just a few minutes from the hotel.
Poolside Among the Pines
It’s hardly summer without a few lazy days spent poolside. At Little America, our seasonal outdoor pool is surrounded by our beautiful pine forest. So you can enjoy the fresh air of Flagstaff’s signature great outdoors without having to lift a finger.
Best yet, our poolside menu allows you to linger by the water. From light bites like Chips & Salsa and a variety of fresh salads to satisfying meals like the Sun Valley Reuben or the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich, fresh, made-from-scratch dining is in our nature. Plus, our bartenders are ready to take your poolday to the next level with a lineup of refreshing drinks like the Prickly Pear Margarita.
Perfect for Patio Season
While our on-site restaurant, Silver Pine, has all-day menus to savor in any season, there’s something special about the summer months when you can enjoy your meal outdoors. From the classic American breakfast to the culinary variety of the dinner menu, raise a glass to patio season with an al fresco meal, designed especially for summer.
