Winter Market & Open House (December 6th-7th): The Museum of Northern Arizona hosts 25 Indigenous artists from the Colorado Plateau showcasing unique art, ornaments, jewelry, pottery, and weavings. Thanks to generous support from APS, museum admission is free this weekend, and there will be winter storytime and crafts for children.
Howlidays (December 7th, 11 am-1 pm): Downtown Flagstaff welcomes four-legged family members to Heritage Square. Dress up your pups and take a family photo with Santa, with donations benefiting High Country Humane and Coconino Humane Association. Both local shelters will be in attendance at this heartwarming event.
Holiday Parade of Lights (December 13th, 6-8 pm): Presented by the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, this time-honored tradition brings the community together as dazzling floats wind through downtown Flagstaff, filling the air with joy and excitement as families line the streets to take in the spectacle.
Christmas Tours at Riordan Mansion State Historic Park (December 1st-January 6th): The historic mansion is festively decorated in turn-of-the-century style with wreaths, garlands, greenery, and a towering fir tree trimmed with old-fashioned ornaments, offering a glimpse into holidays past.
Christmas Twilight Tours at Riordan Mansion (December 20th-23rd, 5-6 pm): For an extra-special experience, book one of these limited tours where the original 1904 light fixtures with Edison-style bulbs create a beautiful glow, and weather permitting, luminarias light the pathway around the grounds.
And don’t forget to take an evening drive through Flagstaff’s neighborhoods to admire creative holiday light displays—some streets become destinations unto themselves.
